What’s Coming Soon

In July, our team will begin moving all Co-op Web Builder sites to the exceptional Pantheon platform. Yes, we know that is right around the corner, but we wouldn’t want to waste any time adding these benefits to our member sites.

Our seamless, end-to-end strategy will allow us to migrate 60 – 80 sites per month, with no action required of any of our members. Every step, from codebase upgrade, to performance integration, to content and file transfer will be handled by our talented Co-op Web Builder team, so you can sit back and relax this time.

In the past, we have kindly asked for you to hold a “content freeze”. We are happy to announce that won’t be necessary. Our QA team is going to spot check your content and make sure everything is preserved during the upgrade process. We value your time and contributions to our platform and are happy to handle the heavy lifting for you.

How Will It Work?

Each week we’ll migrate 15 sites, using our seamless end-to-end strategy, letting members know as we complete each upgrade. We’ll keep you in the loop and send you a notice the week prior to your site’s upgrade. This is purely meant as an FYI communication, so everything we do with your website is transparent.

The Backstory

The Co-op Web Builder team has dreamed of this partnership for the last 6 years.

It all started with a trip to DrupalCon in New Orleans, where we bumped into the Pantheon team and their incredible product demonstration. What we saw was simply cool. Too cool. We knew there had to be a catch, and at the time it was the cost. A premium hosting platform is very expensive, and without a real partnership, it wouldn’t be possible unless we charged our members for it.

Fast forward to this January, when the CWB team buckled down and connected at the hip with Pantheon to revisit our past partnership attempts. We spent 6 months developing a solution that is optimized for all Co-op Web Builder members, made possible by your continuing investment in Touchstone Energy. It has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to provide next level hosting services to all our members as soon as the turn of the New Year.
